Saline Flush Syringes Recalled

Nurse Assist Inc. announced today that it is voluntarily recalling all unexpired lots of I.V. Flush Syringes, due to a potential link to Burkholderia cepacia blood stream infections after use of the product. According to the CDC, Centers for Disease Control land Prevention, symptoms may vary.

A patient that has been infected may not show any symptoms at all while serious respiratory infections have been found in others, especially those with Cystic Fibrosis. If one feels that they are showing signs of an infection one should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
